Urban Art events
Arts and entertainment assembled in a unique combination offers a unique experience to the audience. One of the goals is to make each event interactive for all of those involved, being a spectator, a participant or experiencing the excitement of a competition in Street-art or Graffiti – visitors will feel involved and welcome in all activities. Urban Stylistix works together with top organisations in the field of urban art such as Write4Gold or The Paint Club Battle Tour but we also set up our own productions. Our events exhibit high quality art in a welcoming and creative atmosphere to offer a new and striking cultural experience for the audience.
„To imagine a city also means to participate in public places.“ (Pelin Tan)
Urban Stylistix invites local and international artists to create large-scale mural paintings in the city of Amsterdam. A concept is developed for each wall together with the artist and in specific occasions with in cooperation others such as the neighbourhood, city council, local housing corporations or other interested parties.
> Muralism within the concept of “Urban Regeneration”
The goal is to visually improve, embellish and emphasize a location, to give it expression, make it alive and make it available to all audiences. For example, mural paintings are for instance developed together with the residents of a neighbourhood and enhance identification of local people with their surrounding and living area.
> Muralism within the context of “Democratic Art & Urban Museum”
In the long run, these works will remain to embellish the city, with a sense of exchange and sharing. And little by little, an open gallery will be set up, in the manner of an «urban museum».
Cultural and artistic education related to urban art forms in theory and practical experience.
Our main focus lies on workshops for young people in the age group between 15 and 25 years.
Our workshops take a variety of important aspects into consideration:
• discovering participant’s own creative side,
• developing skills an learning new techniques but also
• strengthening self-confidence,
• experiencing a new way for self-expression and communication,
Led by top local as well as international artists, each workshop tackles history, past and current developments, analysis of predominant artists as well as practical lessons in composition, painting with spray-cans, markers and acrylic, cutting stencils, illustration and developing ideas towards an own style.
The final result is always an own artwork on canvas or a wall piece, which is going to be exhibited during a small show or as special contribution at a big event.

The experience of an amazing club night aims to be the entry point into a more diverse cultural exploration. Artistic activities on an equal level than music create a first-time experience for many visitors related to art. Each party is programmed in combination with an own
